Rebranding LACOPPA

Brand identity update for LACOPPA, by Studio Foyne

LACOPPA is a coffee brand that developed the first plant-based compostable coffee capsule. They’re all about combining great taste with sustainability. 

The problem

LACOPPA reached out to us feeling stuck. After rewriting their brand book around their core values, a problem arose: the old branding reflected none of these values.  

Diagnostics

We talked about how a refresh would help them move forward. The old logo didn’t fit their sharp new outline, and the packaging showed too little of their sustainable approach to good coffee.

How we helped

It took a little over a month to slim down the logo to a few elements. We picked the letter C to encapsulate a bean and some sharp typography to go with it. For the packaging we went with an alphabet cube aesthetic. We outfitted this cube with a custom illustration of sugar canes (from which the plant-based capsule is made) that naturally flows into branches carrying the coffee fruit.   

The result

LACOPPA feels comfortable now that their packaging broadcasts their values to the world. More ready than ever to bring sustainability and great taste to the homes of many. Doing their part on the way to a circular economy.
